HouseSplits is more than just simply renting a room! Here are some of the things that we offer that makes us different and unique:
Convenient
We want your living experience to be as convenient as possible. We understand that people sometimes have different preferences and “one size doesn’t fit all.” Here are some of the options available to you:
We provide 6-month or 12-month lease terms. All of our lease terms require a 30-day notice if you decide not to renew your lease.
In some of our units you have the option to pay either monthly or bi-weekly.

You always split your utilities by the maximum number of suites located within a home. For example, if there are 3 individuals in a home, you would only pay 1/3 of the utilities. You only pay your percentage of utilities, even if the home is not leased out to its full capacity. You always get copies of all monthly utility bills. Utilities are as follows:
- Cable Service
- Water
- Electricity
- Gas (if the home requires it)
Unlike traditional housing you do not have to run your credit or pay any type of deposit to obtain utility service, saving you a few hundred dollars up front!!!
Washer and dryers are available for use in all of our homes. These are free to use!!!! We only ask that you limit your usage to once a week to help keep the utility cost down.
We accept online payments by debit, credit card, or through your checking account. You also have the option of sending your payment in by mail with a postmark before or on the due date.
For those of you who are trying to build and/or establish a solid credit history, we also can report your payments to Experian.
We always want to ensure that our homes stay clean and neat, especially within the communal areas. This is why we offer a bi-weekly cleaning service for free to the communal areas. We check all suites, and the entire premises to ensure upkeep of our homes at least once per quarter.
